The Milwaukee Brewers have acquired Jonathan Schoop from the Baltimore Orioles.

Schoop, 26, was hitting .244 with 17 home runs and 40 RBIs for the Orioles this season.

Schoop was an All-Star in 2017.

Milwaukee (62-47) entered Tuesday's action one game behind the first-place Chicago Cubs in the NL Central.

The Pittsburgh Pirates have traded for Chris Archer while sending back Austin Meadows and Tyler Glasnow to the Tampa Bay Rays.

Archer is 3-5 with a 4.31 ERA in 17 starts this season. He will be a front-line starter in a Pirates rotation that already includes Jameson Taillon.

Archer is a two-time All-Star. 

The Los Angeles Dodgers have traded for Brian Dozier from the Minnesota Twins for Logan Forsythe.

Dozier, who was the fifth player traded by the Twins in the last five days, is batting just .224 but has 16 home runs and 52 RBIs this season.

Dozier will become a free agent this winter.

The Philadelphia Phillies have acquired Wilson Ramos from the Tampa Bay Rays.

Ramos is batting .297 with 14 home runs this season for the Rays. 

Ramos was an All-Star this season.

The acquisition of Ramos comes four days after the Phillies bolstered their offense by receiving infielder Asdrubal Cabrera in a trade with the New York Mets.

The Arizona Diamondbacks have acquired Brad Ziegler from the Miami Marlins.

Ziegler, 38, spent parts of six seasons with the Diamondbacks from 2011 to 2016, posting a 2.49 ERA and 62 saves over that stretch.

Ziegler has pitched to a 0.64 ERA in his past 28 appearances

The Cleveland Indians have acquired Leonys Martin and Kyle Dowdy from the Detroit Tigers for Willi Castro.

Martin, 30, is batting .251 with nine home runs in 78 games this season, his first with the Tigers. 

Martin will be a free agent this winter.

Castro, 21, is batting .245 with five homers and 13 stolen bases this season at Double-A Akron.

The St. Louis Cardinals have traded Tommy Pham to the Tampa Bay Rays as part of a four-player deal.

The Rays also received international slot money from the Cardinals, who acquired minor leaguers Justin Williams, Genesis Cabrera and Roel Ramirez in the deal.

Pham is batting .248 with 14 home runs and 41 RBIs in 98 games this season for the Cardinals. 

The Cardinals have a crowded outfield with Marcell Ozuna, Dexter Fowler and Harrison Bader.

The Washington Nationals will not trade Bryce Harper at the deadline.

Mike Rizzo told The Washington Post in a text message that Harper "is not going anywhere." 

The Nationals (52-53) are 5½ games behind the first-place Philadelphia Phillies in the NL East.

The Rays have been in touch with as many as 12 teams about the right-hander.

Reports have varied regarding how serious the Rays are about moving Archer, who remains on a team-friendly contract.

The Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Yankees, Atlanta Braves, Milwaukee Brewers and San Diego Padres have been linked to Archer.
